Short Love Poems

When special occasions come, the demand for short love poems heightens. This is for the fact that love verses, especially poems that are personally written by the person giving it, can really touch someone's heart. What else can express and explicitly show one's emotions rather than short love poems? Compared to other expressions of love, like flowers, chocolates, etc, poems can be dubbed as ultimate symbols of love as they have the power to send the message of passion to the other person, letting him or her know that she or he is very special. Poems are so personal that you got to think over and over again the best love poem that will suit your significant other or your beloved.
My Love for You
“My love for you knows no bounds
And one day it will pull me to the ground.
And on my knees I will ask it of you
If you and I could become one, not two.
And if God answers my prayers
When I stand at the alter, you will be there.
I will love you forever, to the end of my days
And each day, to God will I praise.
For sending me an angel, so beautiful and true
An angel so perfect, It could only be you.”
-- DAVID MUNOZ
Evening Song
“Look off, dear Love, across the sallow sands,
And mark yon meeting of the sun and sea;
How long they kiss in sight of all the lands,
Ah! longer, longer we.
Now, in the sea's red vintage melts the sun
As Egypt's pearl dissolved in rosy wine
And Cleopatra night drinks all. 'Tis done,
Love, lay thine hand in mine.”
-- SIDNEY LANIER
Broken
“Broken hearts, love's deceit,
pieces fall down to my feet.
Broken promises, love's a lie,
puddles form from tears I cry.
Broken dreams, love's illusion,
sorrowed cause of your intrusion.
Broken hope, love's a game,
doesn't last, ends the same.
Broken sleep, love's the cause,
digs at me with sharpened claws.
Broken spirit, love of sorrow,
stolen now is my tomorrow.
Broken life, love is lost,
Broken now and that's the cost.”
-- RACHEL
True Love
“Drop a tear,
It releases the fear.
Feel her near,
and tell it to her ear
I'll love you to the end of years.”
-- KABETU KENYA
My Poem

“I have been
Telling my every poem
How cute you are.
But now I am ashamed to tell them
You are disrespectful to
Me, my love, and every poem
I have written so far.
I don't want them to think
I am a liar
I am not
It was you
who set my heart on fire.”
-- GORAN
